Marie & Seema is based in Offenbach am Main. Jyoti Seema Deogam and Marie Brunk launched the label in 2023. Their goal: clothing that effortlessly bridges work and personal life. The collections are designed in Germany. Skilled artisans in India handcraft them in small batches. Only natural fabrics: linen, cotton, bamboo and lyocell. Gentle on the skin. Breathable. And if you like, made to measure. The idea grew from what the founders saw around them. With hybrid work, the lines between office and home are blurring. You need clothes that adapt. Comfortable, yet polished. Marie trained as a fashion designer. She leads the design. Jyoti has a background in law, finance and sustainability. She ensures fair production. Together, they created the BusinessMode 2.0 line. Ready-to-wear or bespoke. For work and leisure alike. Marie & Seema only uses natural fibres. Linen, cotton, bamboo viscose and lyocell (Tencel). Chosen because they breathe, last and are kinder to the planet. Synthetic fabrics? Not here. Even the details are natural: mother-of-pearl and corozo buttons. Lyocell comes from wood pulp from sustainably managed forests. It’s made in a closed-loop process. Water and solvents are reused. The clothes are made in India. Artisans receive fair wages. They work in safe conditions. Jyoti checks this in person. Ethical standards apply throughout the chain. No child labour. The packaging is recycled. And the brand supports good causes.
